چکیده

conclusions routine predilation of the sb in provisional stenting of true bifurcation lesions seems to be ineffective and might be associated with some undesirable consequences. still, there are some complex ostial lesions of the sb which could benefit from predilation. patients and methods sixty patients with true bifurcation lesions according to the medina classification were included in the study and randomly assigned to receive sb predilation before stenting the main branch (n = 30) or no predilation as the control group (n = 30). results there was a trend toward the higher occurrence of dissection in the predilated ostial lesions of the sb compared to the non-predilated group (16.7% vs. 0, p = 0.07). performance of the sb predilation was not associated with improved flow of the sb or fewer degrees of ostial stenosis after stenting the main branch, the need to rewire, rewiring time, or the rate of use of the final kissing balloon dilation and double stents procedures. background there is a paucity of data regarding the role of side branch (sb) predilation during the provisional stenting of bifurcation lesions. objectives the present study aimed to assess the effects of sb predilation on the outcomes of true bifurcation interventions.

The Effects of Side Branch Predilation During Provisional Stenting of Coronary Bifurcation Lesions: A Double-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial

BACKGROUND There is a paucity of data regarding the role of side branch (SB) predilation during the provisional stenting of bifurcation lesions. Randomized Comparison of Conservative Versus Aggressive Strategy for Provisional Side Branch Intervention in Coronary Bifurcation Lesions

Methods In this prospective randomized trial, 258 patients with a coronary bifurcation lesion treated with drug-eluting stents were randomized to a conservative (n 128) or aggressive (n 130) SB intervention strategy. The criteria for SB intervention after main vessel stenting differed between the conservative and aggressive groups; Thrombolysis In Myocardial Infarction flow grade 3 versus diame...

A randomized trial of a dedicated bifurcation stent versus provisional stenting in the treatment of coronary bifurcation lesions.

BACKGROUND Bifurcation lesions are frequent among patients with symptomatic coronary disease treated by percutaneous coronary intervention. Current evidence recommends a conservative (provisional) approach when treating the side branch (SB). OBJECTIVES The TRYTON (Prospective, Single Blind, Randomized Controlled Study to Evaluate the Safety & Effectiveness of the Tryton Side Branch Stent Used...

Optimal Strategy for Provisional Side Branch Intervention in Coronary Bifurcation Lesions: 3-Year Outcomes of the SMART-STRATEGY Randomized Trial.

OBJECTIVES This study compared the long-term follow-up results of conservative versus aggressive strategies for provisional side branch (SB) intervention in coronary bifurcation lesions. BACKGROUND The appropriate criteria for provisional SB ballooning or stenting have not been established. METHODS A total of 258 patients with a large bifurcation lesion were randomized to a conservative or ...

Randomized Comparisons Between Different Stenting Approaches for Bifurcation Coronary Lesions With or Without Side Branch Stenosis.

OBJECTIVES This study sought to evaluate the optimal percutaneous coronary intervention techniques using drug-eluting stents for bifurcation coronary lesions. BACKGROUND The optimal bifurcation stenting technique needs to be evaluated. METHODS The trial included 2 randomization studies separated by the presence of side branch (SB) stenosis for patients having non-left main bifurcation lesio...

Effects of Acetic Acid Vaginal Gel on Vulvovaginal Candidiasis: A Double Blind Randomized Controlled Trial

Background and purpose: It is estimated that 70–75% of women experience one episode of vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) during childbearing age and 40-50% suffer from recurrent VVC. Because of the resistance of Candida species to certain drugs, such as azoles, physicians tend to use complementary or alternative medicine such as vinegar in treatment of VVC. The current study aimed to determine the...
